Send a fax from an agent
Plenty of offices still take paperwork by fax. Emboss gives an agent one call that sends a PDF to a fax number and a receipt that says whether it arrived, so the agent can close the loop without a human at a fax machine.
Fax a filled form in the same run
An agent that just filled a form with Emboss can send it on the spot: pass the destination number and the PDF, get a job id back at once, and poll for delivery. The receipt carries the page count and a hash of the file that went out.
From Claude or any MCP client
Connect Emboss and the send_fax tool appears beside the form tools. The agent supplies the destination and the PDF; get_fax reports working, delivered, or failed.
Without an account
Agents that pay per call can fax through the pay door, paying per transmitted page in stablecoins or by card. The payment challenge states the exact price for the document sent.
What happens when a fax fails
Busy lines and dead numbers happen. The receipt names the failure category and whether a retry is worth it, and a paid fax that fails is refunded. The destination number is masked everywhere it is shown.
